Emmerson have carried out some significant projects and have worked on many multi million pound outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions

  • In particular we have worked for 3 years with ARAMARK – the major US based managed services and food service business. ARAMARK has worldwide revenues of $12bn and employs 13,000 in the UK. Having initially worked on the integration of an acquired organisation we went on to develop new compensation and benefits strategies and currently manage all their UK pension activities.
  • Another major project was on behalf of Wincanton plc where we assisted the business in the development of new HR strategies and delivered a new approach to competency based performance management, assessment and recruitment. An additional project included supporting the HR activities involved in the acquisition of a major European logistics organisation.
  • We have worked with Geest plc (now Bakkavor UK) - one of the UK's largest and foremost chilled food suppliers - for many years. Our projects have included handling the HR aspects of the sale of the banana business, the acquisition of four food companies, the development of Greenfield chilled food sites in Costa Rica, South Africa and within the UK. We also handled all the HR issues involved in the merger of a New Zealand produce business with the Geest produce activities including the consolidation of the business on one site. We also provided interim HR directorship for 3 years to one of the Divisions
